BRISTOL MATHEMATICS CONFERENCE – 14TH JUNE 2016

Conferences South West is pleased to be working with Bristol City Council following a successful conference in 2014, with a change of venue for 2016.

The organisers have confirmed that 60 mainly Primary places are already booked and are anticipating 100+ delegates including Teachers, Subject Leaders & some Head Teachers from Early Years, Primary and Secondary Schools.  We had a bumper event with 102 delegates on the day.

Exhibitors will be sited in the Street Corridor in Block S as shown on the map which can be downloaded below.

There will be a range of workshops looking at a range of topics including:

  • Problem solving and reasoning in the early years
  • Successful transition from EYFS to Key Stage 1
  • Rich tasks to determine mastery in primary schools
  • Practical Mathematics in the primary school
  • Core Mathematics for secondary pupils
  • Reasoning for secondary school pupils
  • Space and the Mathematical Opportunities from STEM
  • Everyday Mathematics Project supporting parents with mathematics
  • Our journey to mastery – A subject leaders view

There will also be a showcasing of the mathematical projects across the City
